Although not a massive community, on the scale of Sicilians in Florida, there are a large number of people from Sicily living in the Midlands in the UK. There is a church in Birmingham that some attend regularly that has mass in Italian. In the past there were 'Italian dances' organised at the Tower Ballroom in Edgbaston, where many people met up. Quite a few Sicilians over the years bought ice cream vans or entered other food related businesses. Another service that some Italians in Birmingham take advantage of is the Pastaro van that delivers Italian related groceries.
Many of the Sicilians enjoy growing their own fruit and vegetables. This link is to an allotment website where there are a number of green-fingered Sicilians. An unusual Sicilian vegetable that they grow is The Sicilian Snake.
