The flag of Sicily is red and yellow with a symbol in the centre called the trinacria. The trinacria is said to represent the shape of the island of Sicily.The flag was used by Sicilian separatists during the war in 1943, but only became the official public flag in January 2000. The Trinacria is also used on the flag of the Isle of Man - although I am not sure of the connection.
