Sicily's mild winter climate means that many tender plants grow there well. These photos were taken in Movember 2005.


These cacti were growing outside a shop.


Bourgainvillia grows everywhere in Sicily and is very often used for hedges. Brightly coloured leaf bracts surround the tiny flowers.		Campsis is another climbing plant which is used for hedges


This beautiful Bird of Paradise plant was flowering in a street in Agrigento in February
