How 'the son' likes to take a holiday in sicily

Sicily has some great beaches. I would be more than happy to go to the beach for sunrise and come back at sunset. It's not that I like sunbathing, in fact I use total sunblock and spend a lot of time in the shade. I think I just enjoy the total relaxation of listening to the sea, reading a book and having an amazing Sicilian afternoon snooze. If I am feeling energetic, I enjoy a game of frisbee or a game of boule. My favourite time to go to the beach is the end of May -start of June, as the beaches in Sicily are relatively quiet but the sun is nice and warm. I find the weather in Sicily in July and August a bit too hot and the Sicilian beaches a bit too crowded.
Not all days are like this, sometimes I will visit family for a meal, or go sightseeing in another City or town. However my typical day in Sicily will involve getting up early(ish) having a good strong coffee, and some breakfast - maybe fried or scrambled egg on toast or some porridge. I might then go to get some fresh bread from the bakers and top up supplies at the supermarket. After this I make some sandwiches and head for the beach. On the way home from the beach I will often stop for an ice cream, (did I mention Sicilian ice cream is superb - i have to have at least one a day) or a drink of beer at a cafe, then go back, shower, and eat dinner. I love all the fresh antipasta, and the top quality Sicilian olive oil, so this usually features, I also am partial to good Sicilian wine, which is dirt cheap. If you spend 5 pounds on a bottle you can get a good quality wine in Sicily.
Then I have the essential after dinner stroll or passeggiata. I do this regardless of the time of year or the weather. It always involves an ice cream, or crepe. I will stop off at the yogurteria which is run by some friends and chat with them or go with them to a cafe and have a drink. I like to browse the stands, where usually, people form Senegal sell jewelery, dodgy DVDs etc.
Then I like to go back and have a drink outside and a ponder under the Sicilian sky before going to bed.
After rereading the above it sounds really boring, which sounds perfect to me.
